Agency
The relationship between a real estate agent and customer is defined in part by a section of state laws called the Law of Real Estate Agency. Real estate agents are required to give each customer a copy of the "Law of real Estate Agency" so they understand how the relationship between them and a buyer's agent, seller's agent, or dual agent as defined by law.
